Many of you may remember the Oxford Gatehouse. A local charity we supported in 2018-19 and then decided to support on a permanent basis. 

Last year we used some of our charitable budget to buy underwear and sleeping bags for the homeless in Oxford.

After the year we have all had, for many of us, we are doing everything we can just to simply stand…and you know what? thats totally fine. If thats you, feel free to ignore the rest of this post.

Many of our connections mentioned last year that they would like to try to play their part if we did this again. 

The gatehouse has had a tough year too:

“Our workload probably tripled overnight”…. “We estimate that we are providing around 600 meals a week”….. “Normally, we run our Christmas appeal but this year, we just don’t have the capacity to do so”

Despite everything thats happened we still feel that it’s appropriate we do something. Especially considering the year we have had.

As a result, in the coming weeks we will be taking a much as we can to the Gatehouse to help their continuing work.
