10% of our profit to change peoples lives…..
At the very beginning there were several ‘foundational’ elements for Tessell8. One of these was that we would always give at least 10% of our profit away to help change the lives of others.
After all, what’s the point in having ‘stuff’ if it can’t be shared around a bit?
Over the years we have given nearly £50,000 away to charities all around the world to change the lives of people living in really tough conditions.
Our customers choose who we give to by voting every time they place an order. At the end of the year, we total up all the votes and hand out the donations.
This is one of the highlights of our year and a great privilege to be able to do. If you choose to use Tessell8, you will also be helping to change the lives of people every day.
Local, national & niche…..
Every year we look for a local charity, here in Oxford, a national or global charity and then finally a small niche charity that might often get overlooked.
See the following tiles for a summary of the charities for this year….
In addition we also get involved in other charity events or random acts of kindness.
Ask us, and we will tell you more…
The Nuffield Orthopaedic Centre…..
We have personally benefitted from the amazing work of the team at the NOC in Oxford. Having first-hand experience of their pre-operative and post-operative care we had to support them this year!
“We loved working with the company last year, when they generously supported the Oxford Heart Centre, and to see them come back to support the Spinal Unit at the JR really shows the ethos of the company. We are only able to make such a difference in our hospitals thanks to the support of generous individuals and companies like Tessell8 who care deeply about their local community. We are incredibly grateful for this special support.”
Tommy’s…..
Tommy’s funds research into miscarriage, stillbirth and premature birth, and provide pregnancy health information to parents. They are the largest charity funding research into the causes of miscarriage, stillbirth and premature birth. They also provide information for parents-to-be to help them have a healthy pregnancy and baby.
They believe it is unacceptable that one in four women lose a baby during pregnancy and birth and want every parent to have the best possible pregnancy outcomes and to take home happy, healthy babies. Their target is to halve the number of babies that die during pregnancy or birth by 2030.
